Travellers Palm is commonly known as Banana Palm. It is most famous by its botanical name. It is most attractive ornamental palm. It is said that a park or garden without travellers palm plant is barren. The seeds of the palm are deep brown in colour with blue coat over it. The leaves of the palm are like banana leaves, so it is called as banana palm.
Germination Procedure:
- Soak the seeds in water for atleast 24 hours.
- Then take the seeds out of water and mix a pinch of fungicide on it.
- Then place the seeds on bed made of sand and cover it with thin layer of sand.
- Keep the pot on semi-shade area.
- Sprinkle water frequently to keep the sand moist.
- Usually it takes 30 to 40 days to germinate.
