Adonidia Merrillii is commonly known as Manila palm or christmas palm. This palm is commonly cultivated in Philippines and Malaysia. The slender grey trunk, brighy leaves looks amazing. The reaches upto 25 feet height. This palm is a self pruning palm and require little to no maintenance.
Seeds are red in colour when get matured. After drying it becomes ash coloured.
Germination Procedure:
- Soak the seeds in water for atleast 24 hours.
- Then place the seeds on bed, made of either soil or sand. Use 30% compost.
- Cover the seeds with same medium.
- Water on it frequently to get it moist.
- Usually it takes 35 to 45 days to germinate.
