Gulmohar is known in various names such as — Royal Poinciana, Phoenix Flower, Flame of the forest, Krishnachura etc. It is notable for its orange red coloured flower all over the tree in summer. The royal poinciana requires a tropical or near tropical climate, but can tolarate drought and salty conditions. The Gulmohar plant is most commonly propagated by seeds. In addition to its ornamental value, it is most famous among avenue plants.
Germination Procedure:
- Soak the seeds in luke warm water for atleast 24 hours.
- Place the seeds on moist soil and keep it ina semi-shade area.
