Chir Pine is commonly known as longleaf Indian pine. It is a large tree reaching upto a height of 30 to 50 meters. Chir pine is widely planted for timber in its native area. It is also ocassionally used as an ornamental tree, planted in parks and gardens.
Germination Procedure:
- Mix 5ml humic acid with one liter of water.
- Soak the seeds for atleast 24 hours in water
- Place the seeds on bed, made of either sand or soil.
- Keep the pot on semi-shade area.
- Usually it takes 15 to 20 days to germinate.
