Chinese fan palm or China fountain palm is the most common and attractive palm, widely cultivated all over the world. The round shape leaves with fallen edge give it a fountain look. This palm is cultivated as an ornamental tree in gardens and conservatories.
The fruits are dark black in colour when ripen and the seeds are grey white in colour when dried. Seeds are dried in room tempreture and not in direct sunlight. All seeds are free from pest and fungus.
Germination Procedure:
- Soak the seeds in water for atleast 24 hours.
- On wet seeds use a pinch of fungicide and mix well.
- Then place on bed made of sand horizantally.
- cover the seeds with sand lightly and sprinkle water.
- Keep it a semi-shade area.
- It generally takes 15 to 25 days to germinate.
