Aparajita is commonly known as Pigeonwings, Bluebellavine, Blue pea, Butterfly pea, Darwin pea etc. It grows as a vine or creeper, doing well in moist, neutral soil. Its most striking feature is the colour of the flower. Aparajita has many colours such as blue, white, pink etc. The most striking colour is blue. In India is is named as Neelkanth flower and used to warship Lord Shani Dev.
The seeds are small and dark green or blakish green in colour.
Germination Procedure:
- Soak the seeds in water for atleast 8 to 10 hours.
- Then place the seeds on bed made of soil.
- Sprinkle water frequently to keep the bed moist.
- Keep the pot on semi-shade area.
- It usually takes 7 to 10 days to germinate.
